Hello, my dear friends! Let’s talk about some fitness today, shall we? I know that there are so many of us men and women out there who have struggled with a weight problem at some point in their lives. I am all for body positivity and embracing how you look no matter what, even so, I do understand that many of us want to be a little bit healthier and look a bit different at times.
If you are overweight because of your habits and not because of an underlying condition, I am happy to tell you that it is not that tough to reach your weight goals! The main problem is motivation, and if you are motivated enough to stay on board with me till you are where you want to be, then the rest of the journey is fun and easy!
Follow these few steps, and you will be on your way to a flat tummy in no time!
Cut Down on Carbs
Now, how many times have we heard that you need to cut down on carbs to lose weight? It’s still there because it is one of the most significant truths out there. One of the most successful and famous diets these days, the keto diet, works on the principle that you need to consume minimal carbs to lose weight.
You can find carbs in a lot of the food that you consume on the daily including bread, sugar, fruity drinks, some fruits like apples, rice, etc. If you still are not sure of what foods genuinely contain carbs, you might want to Google the components of your meals before you eat them.
It might be difficult to go cold turkey on carbs, so you can try to take it slow. Remember, that a slowly improving lifestyle is the best way to lose weight and maintain it that way.
You can start by limiting the portion of carbs you eat. Like, stick to one slice of bread per day, or one cup of boiled rice and not more. You can then slowly modify the portions to the use of carbs in your diet is minimal.
Keep in mind that carbs are an essential food group so you must not cut them out completely!
Start a Diet Plan
Secondly, I advise you to start a diet plan if you have weight loss goals and a limited amount of time to get to them. There are many diets available that work on different principles, all of which can help you out. I am going to list some of them below:
- Keto Diet – You are supposed to eat high-fat and low carb foods only with some protein and fiber as well. The high-fat diet curbs your appetite and forced the fat stores in your body to deplete quickly.
- Soup diet – This diet works on the principle that liquids are easier to digest than solids. The food moves with ease around your body, you receive essential nutrition, and that’s that.
- Raw food diet – Raw foods are very uncomplicated foods. Science suggests that they are easier to process than cooked and processed foods and can, therefore; give your body a break that it deserves.
- Protein Diet – The protein diet requires that you eat nothing but protein based foods all day because proteins help maintain muscle mass. It is a very successful diet as well, but it can be harmful to the liver. So remember to drink lots of water if you decide to embark on this diet.
- Juice Cleanse – I am not a firm believer in juice cleanses because they take away a lot of nutrition from your body. But if you want to lose weight fast, juice cleanses the way to go.
Take Natural Supplements
It is understandable that the term ”weight loss supplements” can strike fear in the hearts of many. We believe that supplements are full of chemical compounds that can do more harm than good to our bodies.
While it is true that there are many supplements out there which are full of harmful chemicals that can be very detrimental to our health, there are many other supplements which work in making you lose weight.
Taking supplements along with regular exercise and a good diet plan can help you lose weight faster than just doing those two by themselves.
The most common supplements in the market include caffeine supplements. They provide you with the energy you need to work out and can work up a sweat on you.
It might be hard to believe, but some research has also shown that marijuana edibles can also help you lose weight. Oh, but didn’t marijuana increase our appetite and make us hungry?
That is true, but the most potent benefit of marijuana is de-stressing. It can help anyone relax and feel good about themselves.
Stress is one of the biggest reasons for weight gain, and once that stress is defeated using marijuana, it becomes easier to embark on a weight loss journey and love yourself.
Work on Those Abs
The best way to get a flat, sexy stomach is by doing abs exercises. I had a friend back in college who would work on her abs and nothing else as soon as summer was around the corner. She would then continue the routine during summer too.
Needless to say, that her flat stomach and sexy body were a point of envy for all women. She would rock every outfit with ease and look stunning always.
She wasn’t big on keeping secrets, though, so she immediately revealed her workout routine to us when we asked. And we were shocked to find out that she worked nothing but her abs! She did push-ups, crunches, and bicycles, anything that helped her core stay tight.
If you are one of those people who are satisfied with everything but their stomach, you can start deploying her routine as well. There are hundreds of videos online that you can follow and there are many celebrity workout routines as well.
Remember to always warm-up first!
Make an Exercise Routine
If you are not one of those lucky people who only have a problem with their tummies and want everything in your figure to be in perfect shape, you might want to start a daily exercise routine. I recommend you do a bit of research first on what parts of your body need toning.
I have a cousin who got into shape a few years back, and she had assigned days to work out each of her body parts. On Mondays, she would work the core, on Tuesdays she would do arms and chest, on Wednesdays she would do the thighs, and so on. Needless to say that this method worked wonders on her body. She let go of her diet plan once she reached her weight loss goals but she kept up her exercise routine, and she always looks gorgeous now.
Remember to not stick to one routine forever, though. Once your body gets used to it, it does not affect you. Keep changing the exercises every few weeks and go back to the old ones when you have been away from them for a while. Muscle soreness after exercise is a great thing!
